SNBA first Transatlantic code share with American Airlines

Posted by @ 29/04/2003

SN Brussels Airlines goes transatlantic together with American Airlines

Starting on the 7th May, the SN Brussels Airlines codeshare alliance with US carrier American Airlines will open up a new daily transatlantic connection direct to Chicago, and from there to Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Flight times ex-Brussels are departure 10:50, arrival 12:50; and ex-Chicago, departure 17:40, arrival 08:45.

This initial network of US cities will later be extended to include a further 15 destinations, and codeshare passengers will be able to avail of the agreement to book subsequent connecting flights to other US destinations on the American Airlines US domestic network. Plus, as Chicago is one of our US partner's major worldwide hubs, SN Brussels Airlines passengers will benefit from easy access to the American Airlines' global network as well.

This codeshare agreement is a transatlantic first for SN Brussels Airlines, giving passengers of both airlines a seamless service not only between Europe and the US, but also between Africa and the US, via Brussels.

Customers flying with either airline will now be able to earn and redeem miles on both networks - for SN Brussels Airlines passengers this means access to miles on travel to over 700 new destinations across the world, also redeemable with a wide variety of ground partners.
